HOW JEAN DOES IT

Every deliverable, wether be a social calendar, an ad concept, a target audience profile, it passes through research first. Nothing goes out based on a hunch.

WHY FOUR DESKS?

A single social media manager can post. They can't also run primary research on your target demographic, plan an in person activation, and manage a campaign timeline —not perfectly, at least. Jean Studios splits that work across people who are each actually studying their discipline, so nothing is a generalist's best guess.

HOW WE STAY CURRENT

Our research doesn't come from a report written last quarter. It comes from coursework in data analytics and marketing happening right now, plus the fact that our team is inside the platforms, trends, and purchasing habits we're studying every day, as students, not just as marketers.

Research Desk

Who's on it: Data analytics & business analytics students

What they do: Before anything gets made, the Research Desk answers the questions most brands skip: Who exactly is your customer inside this generation? Where do they actually spend time — not where brands assume they do? What's already working for competitors, and where's the gap?

What you get: A target audience profile and a data-backed strategy brief — the foundation every other desk builds on.

OUR FOUR DESKS AND WHAT THEY DO

Creative Desk

Who's on it: Marketing students, photographers, content creators

What they do: Turns the Research Desk's findings into content people actually stop for — photography, video, social copy, and campaign concepts built around real trend data instead of guesswork or last month's aesthetic.

What you get: Content and creative assets, calendared and built for the platforms your specific audience is actually on.

Field Desk

Who's on it: Marketing & business students focused on in-person/experiential work

What they do: Handles everything that happens off-screen — local partnerships, pop-ups, event activations, in-person promotions. Digital-only agencies miss this entirely; we don't, because our generation's buying decisions still happen in person as much as online.

What you get: A real-world touchpoint plan that complements the digital strategy instead of ignoring it.

Strategy Desk

Who's on it: Cross-functional — this is where research, creative, and field converge

What they do: Keeps every desk aligned to your actual business goals, sets timelines, and makes sure the data from the Research Desk is actually reflected in what the Creative and Field Desks ship — not just referenced once and forgotten.

What you get: One point of accountability, reporting, and a strategy that stays consistent from research to launch.
